The success of EIS in developing from a company employing three to a company employing in excess of 40 engineers and support staff in less than 5 years, has been in the courage to enable talented individuals to drive and manage their aspect of the business without undue hinderence and encouragement to surround themselves with like-minded individuals.

All staff are focussed on delivering a first class service, whatever their part in the overall business. This drive for quality has earned the company sustained repeat business and consequently, rapid growth.

A healthy apprenticeship scheme has also helped develop ‘home grown talent’ appreciative of the EIS ethos and culture, consequently delivering a quality service.

An emergency ‘call-out’ service is available to clients under a formal service agreement (although EIS have attended numerous ad-hoc emergencies for customers as part of the natural support provided). The company operates a rota system for duty engineers and maintains contact via contemporary communication systems.

The company occupies two industrial units on the edge of the Norfolk market town of Downham Market, situated on the A10 between Ely and King’s Lynn. With the rail route from King’ Lynn to London also running through the town, the offices are ideally suited to easily serve East Midlands, East Anglia and parts of the South East region. Larger sites further afield will have their own site based set-up for the duration of the particular project or contract.

The company always seeks to develop good local community relations. As a consequence of the apprenticeship scheme there are close links with the local college, The College of West Anglia. The company endeavours to support one off local activities and has been a sponsor of the Peter Baker Racing Team for four years. In recognition of this and the business success, EIS were awarded Young Business of 2008 by the Borough of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk.
