Health & Safety and Accreditations


Health & Safety - The key focus throughout the company is to undertake all tasks to the highest quality possible and to ensure all tasks are carried in a safe manner. The health and safety of employees, customers and all other parties is paramount. EIS took the step to employ the services of an external H&S specialist from the day it was formed. Today, our H&S Advisors, RSP Safety Services Ltd, are on hand to advise and support both routinely and on an ‘as and when’ basis. All staff are trained to an advanced level on safe working practises and all managers and directors have been trained to a IOSH or equivalent standard.

CHAS & SAFEcontractor - Further evidence of the commitment to ensuring the company complies to the highest H&S standards is our membership of CHAS and SAFEcontractor, both organisations recognised as requiring rigorous H&S procedures of their members.

Achilles Link-up – The company also operates to a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) which meets the very strict requirements of the Railways accreditation scheme; Achilles Link-up. In meeting the very demanding requirements of the rail industry, customers can be assured that EIS operate to a formal quality process.

NICEIC – EIS considered it essential to gain accreditation with the NICEIC, again to provide comfort that electrical standards are met in all respects. The company have had full membership status since 2007.

GasSafe – In order to comply with industry requirements and to ensure a high technical standard, EIS also have gained membership of the overseeing bodies for gas works and general mechanical services.

Constructionline – As a business enjoying a large part of it’s business within the public sector, EIS have sought approval under the Constructionline scheme which tests the companies policies and procedures in respect of H&S, environmental management, human resources etc.
